Woodstock Bridge Building Team Takes Second Place Again at the Vermont Technical College Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition

Second Place!

Our suspension bridge took a 256 lb load, and our solid truss took 159 lbs.  We were surprised by the results. We predicted the opposite.

First Grade Makes Wooden Boats

First graders learned to design and construct boats using wood pieces of a variety of shapes and sizes to create boats with glued on components.

Second Graders Make Wooden Cars (Materials Study)

In this project, Second Graders learn to drill, saw, hammer, and sand. This project does not use nails, but instead uses glued "rub joints" to add the seats and other elements to the chassis.

First Grade Students Come To The STEM Lab for Tinkertime

Using STEM Stix-N-Bitz, they built a Ferris Wheel and a "robot."  We 3D printed the seats for the Ferris Wheel.
