First Grade Studies Animal Senses - Owl's Eyes

 First Graders are studying life science by understanding the world of animal senses.  Here they are experimenting with binoculars to experience owl eyes.  Their classmates have tiny "mice" on sticks at the other end of the room that they are trying to spot.

Kindergarten and First Grade - Building the School Rules

At Woodstock Elementary, the school rules are

BE Safe
BE Respectful
BE Ready to Learn


WES students in Kindergarten and First Grade took time in STEM this week to 
"Build the School Rules" using legos and little wooden people. 
 This "construction" helps to reinforce their understanding.

6TH Grade Pulley Machines on Display at WES



As part of their STEM engineering curriculum, the sixth grade at TPVS created some pulley engineered "work machines." Their machines are currently on display in the WES library. The sixth graders were excited about having them on display at WES, where their old teachers, siblings, and (in some cases) parents could see them.
