Kindergarten Does A Sort to Identify Solids And Liquids.

As always happens with Kindergarten, I get so caught up in working with 20 plus little ones, that I totally forget to take pictures. They worked in groups of two to put things where they thought they belonged on the sorting mat. This was a very successful lesson, where they were very engaged with the question of what makes something a solid, and what makes it a liquid.  About half of the class thought the baggy of flour was liquid, which opened up a lot of good discussion.
