First Grade Uses Model Eardrums to Study the Ear

Students used a cone to represent the ear.  Their classmate tapped the cone so kids could hear what that sounds like.

They then added a plastic cup "eardrum." and their classmates again tapped the cone.  They all reported that the sound was louder with the "eardrum."

They then colored model pictures of the structure of the ear in their science notebooks.
